The Coopers, Heath Wentworth, Ed

Sunday, the 22nd, Heath Wentworth drove up from Haskell, OK with "Bear" a young dog he

got from Ben last fall.  Looks like "Bear" is ready for stock dog boot camp!

Spring is upon us.  Folks are starting to burn off their pastures.  Sunset northeast Oklahoma style.

Mr. Bill takes on the goats.  Far right, Ben stepped in and he and Mr. Bill turned the goats around!

Max and Mary Cooper, Drexel, Missouri

Max and Mary Cooper drove down Saturday morning the 21st to pick up Windy, their nice Heeler/Kelpie cross.  Above Max is taking her for a test drive after Ben worked her.

Windy, even though at doggie boot camp, kept her cheery attitude and even won over Ben.  Windy has some paws to fill when she gets home as the Cooper's older Heeler help-dog recently died.

Left, Windy gets a "hello, you did good" from Mary and left, after Ben worked her, it looks like she's asking Max how she did.  It was a nice day - sunny and high temps so we got lots of pictures.  Below Ben working Windy.  She heads and heels.

Hi Bill & Kathy J

Friday, February 20th

Ben drove over to Ed Hamersley's at Walker, Missouri Friday the 20th.  He bred one of his females to "Mr. Bill's" daddy, Hooch.  And of course, he and Ed "played" with the dogs the rest of the day.  Ed had just got 50 head in the day before, so they dog broke them.  Pictured left and below is Hooch's full brother "Turner."  When Ed gives them a direction, they don't mess around, but cover the ground.

Above, Ed Hamersley working his "Turner" dog.  Right, Leslie with Kris and Bill Schmidt and Ron Wright.  She hauled down to Poccola, Oklahoma Tuesday to have Dr. Bill (a doctor of chiropractic certified by the AVCA) adjust the dogs and herself.
