Gosh, we can't
decide which is the highlight this week - that we've become
aquatic farmers or the goat rescue mission!!! Guess the
latter falls under the perils of aquatic farming. So here
we go - guess the pictures will tell the story
J
It's rained and stormed all week. |

Saturday
morning, April 24th and it's STILL drippy. But it
didn't deter Brian Little and friend Steve Perkins of
Wann, Oklahoma from stopping by with Brian's dog, Jack.
They were up this way at a neighbors looking at cows and
figured they'd take advantage of being only a couple miles
away. Jack gave the goats a good go.

Below - well,
you tell us. Unfortunately, Leslie shooed the dog
trying to "herd" this critter away as she couldn't see what
it was at first. |

Friday's Daring
Water Rescue!

Keeper shows the way
to the 3 stranded kids. He'd already waded in and jumped
the deep waters to
their island, but Leslie couldn't jump that good, so got
recruits. |
|
Ben walked over
on the plank, but not before sinking in over his boots!
He handed 2 of the kids out to Leslie and Ken "Anonymous
Cowman" (who asked not to be identified :>))

Above far right -
sunset last weekend before the rains started. Above left
and center - EVERYDAY this week.
It's gonna be green,
green, green in our neck of the woods. Oh yea, Ben did get
the training dogs worked all week - in the barn and in between
the hard rains. They'll be weather-proofed when they get
home! And, how was your week??? |
