Mike Eaton, Kent Kisling, Clay Mahaney

Saturday, May 15th.  Kent Kisling, Burlington, Oklahoma and grandson, Josh Stewart, Kiowa, Kansas drive over with the "wild bunch."  Kent has Border Collies and Kelpies that he uses on his cattle.  In their neck of the woods, they farm and run cattle.  Flash stayed on and we heard that Mrs. K would be real happy.  Thanks to Flash her chicken population has gone from 30 down to 2!!

Below left, giving Patches, Spot and ??? water.  Center Flash meets a cantankerous nanny head-on.  Right Kent, Josh and Ben just before they headed out.  Josh, a fourth-grader, lives in Kansas but goes to school in Oklahoma at Burlington.

Lena brought in the training calves for the "wild bunch."

Lots of rain, grass is getting tall.  Dog's eye view of gathering in the pasture.  Keeper bringing in the goats to sort some off for Kent Kisling's dogs.  Work those dogs early when it's hot - not much air when you're ground level.

Friday, May 14th, Clay Mahaney, Mahaney Cattle Co. stopped by on his way back to Tahlequah, Oklahoma from a week-long A.I. and preg-check training seminar in Garnett, Kansas to pick up Blaze.

Above, Blaze brings in the training calves from the pasture, and Clay tries her out in the corrals, taking the calves into the center alley and back.  Clay also gave us more history on the Cookson Hills area where he lives.

Mike Eaton and daughter Molly of Troy, Missouri drove over on Saturday, May 8th to pick up their nice dog, Jack.  Ben took pictures with the 35mm but they're not back yet from the photo shop.  Watch for pictures of Mike taking Jack for a spin in a few days.

Ben and Christina discover that the new Dodge

Ram doesn't have a light under the hood!  It does have custom lettering that says "Bever Edition" though.

Wednesday, May 5th, Leslie and Denise Bever, LMT pulled out for Weirsdale Florida and Ben held down the fort.  American Veterinary Chiropractic Certification Examinations.  While they had a fun trip, they were glad to make it back to Bluejacket, Monday the 10th.  The next evening they met JW and Christina Bever of Owasso, Oklahoma (Denise's son) for supper.

Above left, Ben checks out a patriotic jacket at the truck stop restaurant.  He and Christina check out the Cummins in their brand new Dodge Ram dually.  Above right, Denise "modeling" her great hat buy on the Florida trip.  JW, Denise, "Miss Mamie" and Christina.  Below left, Leslie and some of the Florida bunch.  Below center, after-exam debriefing and the sun sets on the mighty Mississippi as Leslie and Denise cross over into Missouri on Sunday the 9th.  Almost home.
