Robert, Janice, Colton
and Carolyn Barnes of Gore, Oklahoma
The Barnes' family drove up
Sunday afternoon, the 9th. They were making a dog run,
picking up "Sandy" to ferry back to Texas for Ida Parmer,
Heel Nippin Ranch. Janice and Robert imported a
Kelpie from Australia and have some from Ida. |

We didn't get a group photo of
the whole family - daylight ran out on us. We worked a
couple dogs for them, then retired to the house for hot
chocolate and good conversation. Robert was home for
the day from the race track in OKC. Janice works
fulltime and goes to school. This is a busy family.
Both kids are animal-crazy.
Son Colton talked about some magic tricks, but daughter
Carolyn only has horses on her mind. Each have their
own horse. |

That big smiling
face above is 6 year old Carolyn in her favorite place - on
a horse's back! It was a little chilly, so she had on
a vest of Leslie's. Left, Leslie's horse Nasty is a
good babysitter. 10 year old Colton was watching Keeper bring in
the training calves. Below Janice, and right, Robert
are watching Ben work a dog on the goats. Carolyn
looks like she's pretty comfortable leaning up against Dad
too.

Ed Hamersley and Eual
Beard, Nevada, Missouri
Ed and Eual drove over Tuesday,
November 4th with Eual's dog Buck for Ben to evaluate.
Ed stuck in a couple of dogs too. Pictured right, Ed
and Eual stayed in the barn - it was a cold north wind
blowing - while Ben worked Buck.
The fellas had a good afternoon
working dogs. Ed left one too. Our training pens
got filled up. |

Below left, Ben working Eual's Buck
dog. Lower right, Leslie with "Sorehead" and G.G.
Ben's decided to keep the dog pup. He's thinking he'll
sell G.G. She's already a hand-full. |
