On the road, coming and going.

Please pray for our troops overseas.  It hit a little closer to home last week when

Ben's nephew John Mareth shipped out to destination unknown.

This is one of the schools Ben and Bernard attended when they lived in Colorado.  This is Columbine school on the way to Duvall's.

Ben's on the road.

Ben left Tuesday morning.  First stop, Laura and Joe Stimatze, Macksville, Kansas.  They'll work dogs until after dark and talk dogs until the sun comes up, when he gets back on the road.  Next stop is John and Cody Duvall's in Granada, Colorado.

John and Cody have an Australian houseguest, Gregg Clay.  Again, they'll work dogs until dark and talk dogs until dawn.  Gosh, it doesn't take much to entertain us!

Ben has the camera, so watch for more photos next week.

First of the week.

Joe Hopping stopped by with his friend Julie Monday evening.  Julie keeps track of us for Joe through her computer.  She has an Australian Cattle Dog named "Cash."  Joe came to pick up a dog and drop one off for training.

Sunday was baccalaureate for grandson Dustin.  Dustin is pictured at right with Granddad.  Above is Dustin leaving in his new pickup.  (New to Granddad and Leslie.)

They grow up way too fast.

Hoss and Joe Hopping of Coweta, OK

Joe and Hoss got rained out Wednesday the 14th so loaded up another bunch of dogs getting here in time to work dogs in the evening.

It was a fun evening working a bunch of young dogs, the training dogs and talking "dogs!"

Above, Joe with a mess of young pups.  Notice Dopey (white goat) isn't too excited - yet.  These guys did get the goats huddled a bit closer.  Lower left 2 young Border Collies waiting their turn.  Lower right, Ben working Dit, one of the older Border Collie's they left over the weekend for training.
