Hall Bros visit, AVCA, Dr. Bill Schmidt

Randall Hall, Russell Hall and

George Benson of Howe, Oklahoma

Randall drove up Wednesday morning with his brother Russell and friend George.  Randall was picking up a nice Border Collie pup he bought from Ed Hamersley.  These gentleman run 150 plus momma cows and sure enough know about using cow dogs and cow horses.  They recounted some cattle gathering experiences which only those who do could have had!

Ben had been scheduled to go over to a machinery consignment sale in Missouri, but enjoyed visiting so much with these guys that he scratched those plans.  He did go to the Vinita Cattle sale later in the day!

Ben worked his Kate on some calves.  Pictured above are L - R Randall Hall, Geroge Benson, Ben and Russell Hall.  Below, Kate may move slower at the decade mark, but even that with no teeth left she still has what it takes and can make 'em bawl.  Keep got to work a little too.

New babies arrive!

All kinds of happenings Tuesday July 29th.  Leslie went off to Saralyn's near Poccola for her monthly chiropractic adjustments - herself and the dogs.

"Gramma" Goat had her babies down in the gully and Jet, the training goat got lost in the big pasture - he's got pink eye.  We spent most of the evening getting goats situated.  Ben carried the twins all the way up to the barns "leading" in "Gramma."  It was a little warm.

Below Dr. Bill Schmidt examining a horse for chiropractic treatment, Twila (AVCA Secretary), Kris Schmidt, Dr. Bill and Saralyn.  A good stock dog is like the "eveready bunny" always working and doesn't think about stopping even when the heat index is over 100, as Keep had to gather and move the goats several times to get Jet in and sort them off from Jet once they were all up.
