Our prayers are with the families
of the 7 astronauts killed in the tragic explosion of the
Columbia space shuttle. And we find it amazing that
Nacogdoches, Texas, home of the LSCD Futurity was in the
center of it all. |

Sunny Saturday,
February 1st
Wow,
Karen Tate said it was 70 degrees and she was right!
We met John and Karen Tate of Tate Ranch Stock Dogs, Seneca,
Missouri in Vinita. They'd come from meeting Casey and
Julie Rindal of Pauls Valley, OK and were so very kind to
haul us dog food.
Even
though it was windy, we had a nice visit and played with
some great pups they had with them out of their super Bea
female (Border Collie) crossed on Casey's nice male, Cap.
We had a great visit with them trading news. |

John and
Karen don't just deliver, they unload too!
Below: John
and some of the pups. Ben sweet-talking one of
the good-looking females. |

The "sick"
puppy was much recovered today. That's her on the left
next to her brother.
The big
dogs went for a spin in the pasture. They're checking out
"the killing field" where the injured snow goose met the coyote.
It's hard to see the feathers, but they're scattered.

Friday, January 31st
Nice sunny day with warmer temps. Yipee! Our buddy
Ed Hamersley came over from Missouri in the afternoon to "play"
with the dogs. He brought "Tyke" and "Lady." Lady
stayed and Tyke, pictured below, went back home to work.

It was also sick puppy day for one of the pups we brought
home in November. Leslie and Double puppy sat in the
office. Some sick puppy, notice the ears and tail
going so fast they're a blur. Double was a good sport. |
