Look who's stopped by

to visit recently.

Rick Cole of Nowata, Oklahoma

Rick came over November 15th to work dogs with Ben.  He brought two nice dogs.  The weather was gray and the wind bitter, but these two guys toughed it out until mid afternoon.

Rick, right, working "Mike" a pup he bred.  Sire of "Mike" is "Lad" pictured below with Ben.

"When is it my turn??"

Ben went to Harley's trial, Leslie and Keeper

hold down the fort.

Well, Ben went to the sale barn the day before he left and hauled two new calves home.  We threw them out with this week's training calves, so they need got up a couple times a day to make sure they eat and drink.

Keep's having a ball doing all the goat and cattle work while "Kate" is gone to the trial.

Keeper says "Don't stop and pose for the camera!  Keep on moving!"  He did keep 'em together, shoving them right into the corral.

It was old home week!  Art and Nancy Bryant of Richland, Missouri and Dwight Newton of Salina, Oklahoma

The week after the Lone Star Cattle Dog Futurity was old home week.  Good friends Art and Nancy Bryant of Missouri came over to drop off two dogs for training and to catch up on all the news.  We had a wonderful visit, but much too short.

Pictured below is our friend Dwight Newton of Oklahoma.  He had several dogs entered at the Futurity and just missed the finals by a hair.  Dwight was in the area on business and dropped in to share coffee time and talk dogs.

Ed Hamersley

of Walker, Missouri

Our good friend, Ed is a regular.  He keeps one pen reserved most of the time.  He came to pick up "Judy" around October 17th.  She's earmarked for a dairy operation.

Below Ben is working Judy.
