Look who's stopped by

to visit recently.

Kim Ezell of Haskell, Oklahoma

Kim stopped by mid-October to pick up Sadie.  Ben worked with Kim using Sadie.  They gathered from a small pasture and here Kim is pictured working Sadie in one of the corrals.  We thought they were "pretty as a picture" - a cowgirl and her dog, so that's what we did with our photo editing.

Brad Thompson

of Walker, Missouri

Brad Thompson and Ed Hamersley drove down October 8th to pick up Brad's dog Bill.  They stayed awhile to visit and watch dogs work, starting with Bill, of course.

Pictured at right, (l-r) Brad Thompson, Ed Hamersley and Ben.  Ben's holding Annie, another nice female Border Collie of Glenn Guttridge.

Joe and Hoss Hopping

of Coweta, Oklahoma

Joe and Hoss came to visit and watch Ben work dogs October 4th.  We had a great time talking dogs and getting acquainted.  They run pairs and yearlings and even a few sheep for weed control. They have been using dogs in their operation for 6 or 7 years, Border Collies and Kelpies.  They even recognized "Angel" our guardian dog as part Komondor which is a guardian breed they use.  They were able to share supper with us.  The evening went much too quickly with them driving home very late.

Tuffy's been in training about half a month.

Ben working Joe and Hoss' Tuffy dog for them.  Tuffy will sure enough "turn 'em around."

Ben and Kate on morning gather at Rocky's.

Rocky Bullard

of Welch, Oklahoma

Ben met Rocky, a local rancher and retailer, last year when he was looking for property.  Rocky invited us out to work dogs and Ben took him up on it mid-September when we had some nice temps.

Rocky and Ben are both ol' hunting dog trainers, sharing a similar training philosophy.
