Ronnie and Darin Martin, Winter Arrives

Monday the 26th turned off cold and snowy!!!  Look at it come down!!

Okay, okay, left is Nasty waiting for Leslie to get his feed and put him up this evening.  Right is Breezer, Denise Bever's horse in his stall in Iowa this morning.  Guess they have 13 inches on the ground tonight!!  Ours is just turning slick, so hope everyone is where they are going until morning.

Below, Ben's Kate found Sling's cushion and has staked claim.  Some of the cattle wishing they were in the barn too.

Ronnie and Darin Martin, Seiling, Oklahoma

Ronnie drove over Saturday morning with his son Darin to pick up his Trigger dog.  Ronnie's been there and done it.  We sure enjoy his recollections.  We told Darin he needed to tape record his dad and their family history.

The fellas were kind enough to pull the tractor back in from the pasture for Ben.  It was just wet enough that Ben's 2-wheel drive pickup wasn't getting the job done. Ben got it running later in the day.

Above Ronnie Martin working Trigger.  Below Ronnie and Darin helped Ben get the tractor back in from the pasture.  It died setting out bale #6 and #7!

Slinghot's not the only one on the mend.  Ben's Kate tangled with one of the bigger steers and is cripping around.  She spied that pink blanket in the kitchen and laid down and didn't move for 12 hours.

Below, Rawhide "posing" with the Rambouillet skull Edna and Richard brought us.  Is that a look of disgust because he has to pose, or because he has been told not to touch it!  Below right, l - r, Bill Aldinger, Gary Burns and Ben fellowshipping after our study lesson and right before the good eating.
