Friday, August
13th the sun sets on another fabulous day. Below,
Neighbors Mya and Jacob Martin waiting for the school bus - yep,
school started up here this week. Below Scooter spies a
stranger in our midst and Angel is not impressed by her
replacement hopeful that Ben brought home today. |

Thursday, August
12th, the Alter family drove in from Breckenridge, Colorado
en route to West Layfayette, Indiana by way of Arkadelphia,
Arkansas where Adam had a triathlon. They are a traveling
family and "Highpointers."
They have climbed the high points of - gosh, we can't remember
exactly - 30 or 40-something state's highpoints.
The whole family ! Since they took home Ears and her
brother, we can expect the first Kelpie "highpointers !"
They have an acreage at home in Indiana and will be learning
firsthand about Kelpies.

Tuesday, August
10th, Ed and Donna Gibson came up from Pryor with their
young Border Collie male. We did enjoy their their visit.
We think it was the Fertilizer Chemical business Ed was in when
they lived abroad. Let's see, India, Venezuela and...maybe
Italy.. Nonetheless, we loved hearing about their adventures and
their decision to move back to Oklahoma to raise their children
when the oldest was junior high school age. Sounds like
the kids all had their roots in good old Oklahoma ranching as
the girls are pretty successful horsewomen. |

Monday, August
9th was a big day. Beverly Whiteside drove up from the
Jay, Oklahoma area with her nice dog "Pip" to get some
assistance from Ben. Sounds like he's a pretty good cow
dog and Beverly just needed a little more handle. Fellow
Cowboy Junctioner, Gary Meyers came up from Adair with "Dottie"
who just turned a year old.. Ben had a big morning working
with them. |

nice Border Collie Dottie finds out what goats are all about.
