Where to
begin...it was a busy week with the Red
River Cattle Dog Classic starting last Friday in
Healdton, Oklahoma. We had a ball with company and seeing
old friends and making new friends in Healdton.
see some of the Classic - won by our good buddy, Roger
Urricelqui of California with his Kelpie, Hashknife Smoke.
A lot of good dogs and good dog men ("persons :>)) all in one
place. If you can make it next year - do it! |

Sue Clark of Buckeye,
AZ
Sue has
Kelpies, along with Belgian Sheepdogs and an Australian
Shepherd. She heard all about last year's RRCDA
Classic and decided to find out for herself what it was all
about.
Sue and
Ben worked dogs for 2 days and headed out for the Classic on
Friday morning early. We're hoping Sue will make this
a regular stop! |
Reddy showing
us his "stuff." Sue hopes to enter him in the Classic
one day. |

Steve Johnson of
Orlando, Florida
Minnesota born and raised, Steve's cowpunched in Wyoming to
his current endeavor Road Rock Promotions, Inc. He was
on his way to Oklahoma City for a weekend long festival and
swung by to meet the crew and see dog work.
Pictured at right is Steve, left, with our neighbor Mike
Kessel. Mike is "guessing" what Steve's pulling.
Mike was right. A rock climbing wall! |

George Honeycutt of
Ozark, Missouri and Todd and Terri Friese of Illinois
These
folks all stopped in to drop off dogs headed southwest.
Ben and Sue were carriers.

The
"challenge" is on. Goats on the wall. The goats
"thought" about it, but the best we did was Ben on the wall! |
