Colorado, Kansas and Australians

JW and Christina Bever of Owasso, Oklahoma

JW, our friend Denise's son, and Christina stopped by Saturday afternoon the 24th.  JW is Nasty's "personal shoer."  JW learned from the best, his mom.  Denise shod horses for over 30 years.

JW calf ropes and bulldogs (Nasty is his old horse :>)) and Christina is a barrel racer.  They are both involved with running quarter horses through Christina's family.

Right Ben, Christina and JW chat after trimming Nasty.  Lower left, "Miss Mamie" their Jack Russell and lower right, JW inspects Nasty and checks out Mac, the sorrel yearling.

The traveler returns!

Ben got home in good time late Friday evening, the 23rd.  He had a great few days - meeting new folks, seeing old friends (Jim Etling made it up) and seeing and talking dogs.  Joe S. rode over with Ben to meet Gregg Clay from Australia at the Duvall's.

Pictured at left (l-r) Jesus Ortiz, Gregg Clay, Joe Stimatze, John Duvall, Cody Duvall and Antonio Ortiz.

Above left - New grandma Laura with Trevor Dylan Stimatze.  Laura and Joe center with Laura's new young Cattlemaster.  Right, John Duvall working a young dog.

Below left, Gregg Clay works a young dog of John's and right, John sorting off cattle.

They loaded out two pots.  Ben said it was quite a site when they gathered

260 head of un-dog-broke cattle and drove them 4 - 5 miles to the loading corrals.

The main thing is they sure enough had the dogs to do it!
