November 2012 - April 2013 - Hi everyone, life seems like it got stuck on a roller coaster this past year.  Ben's been training dogs steady.  2012 was way too dry again and we're holding our breath for 2013, although we have had some moisture the past week.  We are very thankful for that.

Lambing went great this year.  Good weather and Ben's a good herd manager regardless of what species.  He's pretty particular with his rams, culls pretty heavy on the ewes and holds pretty high standards on his replacement ewe lambs.  We lambed 53 head of ewes within a 3 week period - 12 sets of triplets, mostly twins, and not very many singles.  He only bummed 3 lambs.

So far, the guard-dogs-in-training have been paying attention and learning from the older guard dog.  And the young guardian dogs can run fast.  We "hear" the coyotes around but none on our place.

We had a new great grandson born right before Christmas. That's 5 greats and 6 grands!  Pretty cool kids if we do say so ourselves.

Folks, we appreciate each and everyone of you. We thank all of you who have brought dogs for training, and/or bought dogs. Our sincerest gratitude.

We know you'll be checking back to see what's up with us.

Until we fire up the computer again, be blessed,.
