Left: John Tate, Tate Ranch Dogs, Seneca, MO stops by on the way home from the Welch Sale Barn. Hunter (came from John) uses John and Ben as a spring board.

It's heated up mid May - about 20 degrees above normal.  Cattle are glad there's some water back in the pond. We still need rain.  Ponds are only about half full.

Ben drenching goats.  Brad Bell, Welch, OK stops by with his new Border Collie to try.

Vulture smorgasbord next door at Tate Ranch.

Ben and neighbor Jack Warden throw Jack's young stud horse. Back on his feet, he's officially a gelding.

Ben watches Russell Martin, Copan, OK work his Hank dog on goats.

Cowboy Junction Church service was packed for the annual Bill Raus roping. Hunter's a happy dog, they just brought the calves in.

Kent Jeter, Copan, OK hauls Rowdy over.  Ben on Mack checking the calves.

Vern and Susan Thorp, New Sharon, Iowa stopped by on their way through from goat sales in Texas.  The trailer was full of nice does and young billies.

Matt and Dr. Liz Fullbright stopped by on their way to and from chores and farm calls.  Center is Amanda, pre-vet student from Stillwater, helping Dr. Liz this summer.

Yikes, Ben snapped Leslie in her early-morning chore clothes !  Ben on Men's Ministry Saturday.  They cleaned up a big tree that fell during a storm for someone near Vinita.

Peaceful morning for the Katahdins. Ben's going to get more of them.

Allen Sanders, Bluejacket, OK stopped by to pick up Reba (Colts sister). Ben and Leslie load goats for the Leach sale.

The "helter-skelter" garden.  Ben has a method to his gardening.  He's transplanting a tomato plant from the lettuce row to the tomato section.  Yes, there are a few weeds and some grass.  We "think" that all the squash is together with the cucumbers in the next "row" over.  Ben said there sure are strong winds down here.  The carrots seem to be several different places too.
