Lots of good company!

C-o-l-d week in NE Oklahoma!

Finally a warm-up Saturday the 25th!

Rocky came by to pick up Missy.  He and Ben spent a little while working her on the calves.

Christina Bever thought Ben looked like the

"Marlboro Man" and "GI Joe" all rolled into one with his camouflage bibs.  Denise and Glen headed back to chilly Iowa the next day.

JW Bever came over with his new bride, Christina, to ride with his mom and us.

Balmy Monday

Brrrrr.....we got a reprieve Monday January 20th with high 50's.  A little windy, but not enough to deter us from riding.  Our good friend Denise Bever, LMT and Glen Schechinger are down from Iowa.

Backhoe Saturday

Previous owners had a dump hole in the grove close the buildings where we have the dogs.  Craig Duvall made it out with his equipment today.  He and Ben spent a chilly morning pulling out discard and filling in the hole.  The dogs were not impressed by all the noise so close.

Rocky Bullard of Welch, Oklahoma

A cold snowy week.  Not much chance to work outside other than train dogs, feed and break ice on the water tanks and pond.  Ben was getting a little cabin fever, so when he found out his buddy Rocky had a new dog, he got him to come out Friday the 17th when the wind laid down and the sun came out.

Ben and Rocky discussing working dogs after working Missy Friday afternoon.

Steve and Seth Balloun of Dardanelle, Arkansas

Steve and his son, Seth, drove over first thing Saturday morning the 11th.  They brought over "Jet" a black Kelpie that Steve has started.  Ben's just going to put the finish on him.

Steve runs cattle and a large hog operation.  He uses his dogs for both.

Right - Steve and Ben discussing dogs.

Below - Seth with the two red/tan Kelpie pups.  We found out that Steve had put a good "Perfect Stock Dog" foundation on Jet using Ben's video.
