End of September, First of October. Busy time for us. Lots of great visitors. Harvey Price, Holdenville Oklahoma, Ed Hamersley, Walker Missouri, and Rodney Sullivan, Adair Oklahoma all picked up dogs. William Hetzel, Jennings Louisiana and Dr. Charles Long, Overton Texas dropped in for a visit while vacationing at Branson.

Week of September 21st. Jack Warden Bluejacket, Oklahoma stopped by to help Ben castrate a horse. Ed Hamersley Walker, Missouri stopped in to work dogs, leaving a couple for Ben to train. Cowboy Junction Church, Vinita, Oklahoma talks about 40 Days of Purpose campaign. Ben makes a machinery auction in Chetopa, Kansas.

September 13th. Jeff Hill, J-H Farm, Cameron, Oklahoma and Shawna Johnson, Columbus, Ohio made a quick trip up Saturday morning. Greg Griffith and Chance Chandler, Rawhide Cattle Dog Co., Cushing, Oklahoma slipped over Saturday afternoon to pick up a dog in training. It was a beautiful day here in Oklahoma. Skyler Humble made it back for his second lesson with Checkers.

Second week of September. Harvey Price, Holdenville, Oklahoma brought Jesse to be bred. Ben works Jet, a young female Border Collie. Had a nice rain which greened everything up and Keeper is a dog on a mission.

First week in September. Ben helps Ed and Bobbie Hamersley Walker, Missouri work calves. Blaine, Karen and AJ visit from Mississippi for Grandparents Day. We get to see Gwen and CJ too. The goat house construction is underway.

First of September. What a week. Skyler Humble, Bluejacket, Oklahoma came over with Checkers for obedience lessons. Dani and Rodney Sullivan drove up from Adair, Oklahoma to check on Rusty's progress. Ben drove up to Larry and Marilyn Painter's, Cleveland, Missouri to pick up a dog. The goats took an unscheduled road trip, spending the night out and Ben took a spill from the young horse!

End of August. Much needed rain. Ben works the young horses and young dogs. Slim Jim looks like a good one.

Last week of August. Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo Parade pictures, Ben takes Lena out on horseback to gather from the pasture. Dr. Crystal Newman floats Nasty's teeth.

Heath and Jamie Wentworth, Haskell, Oklahoma stop in a couple times with dogs. Neighbor Mike Kessel breaking another young colt, rides in. Slingshot puts the cattle in the working pens.

Third week of August. Need an animal chiropractor? Use an AVCA certified doctor. Dr. Justin Campbell or Morris, Oklahoma helped us out. Meet Dr. Justin and his family. Tom Greer came over with Ashley and Kenzi from Richland, Missouri to pick up a dog.

Lazy Oklahoma Day. Kelpies keep on working in triple digit temps. Horses think it's fall???? Dani and Rodney Sullivan of Adair Oklahoma stop in with Rusty to leave him for training.

Early August. Greg Griffith, Cushing Oklahoma stops in to work dogs with Ben. Ben works Queen, Lena and Gus. Greg hauled a bunch home with him. Ben buys replacement calves, Leslie waters the front yard and the goats are content!

First of August. Max Nidiffer, Bluejacket, stops by with his matched team of Haflingers geldings, Ben hauls some of last fall calves to the sale, Art Bryant and Tom Greer of Richland Missouri pick up and leave dogs. Art and Nancy sent over a plentiful supply of their good garden vegetables. The neighborhood's a buzz about the great ranch rodeo. Jamie Martin neighbor UPS driver special delivers our packages.

Thursday, July 31st. Craig County Fair Ranch Rodeo. They just get better. You'd sure enough want any one of these teammates on your side when having to gather, doctor and load out. And catching that old cantankerous cow, for sure!

Last week in July. Randall and Russell Hall, George Benson all from Howe Oklahoma stopped in to pick up Randall's new pup from Ed Hamersley. New kids on the block. Leslie goes to Poccola for chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Bill Schmidt, AVCA certified doctor. Ben heads off to the Vinita Cattle sale.

Third week of July. A little break in the weather. Less humidity and low 90's! Central AC on the blink with the Teal Brothers Heating and Cooling Chetopa, Kansas to the rescue, Dwight and Connie Newton Salina Oklahoma stop by for a visit and dog work, gathering the calves in the evening and neighbor Max Nidiffer stops in on his Farmall tractor.

Weekend July 19 & 20. Good friend Laura Stimatze, Macksville Kansas stopped in Saturday en route to her parents the Bob Buckman's of West Plains Missouri; Ben's brother Bernard Means, wife Kay, daughter's Janet Mareth and Lori Byrnes came over with their families for a get-together on Sunday.

July 11 - 13th. Jim Ward, Stillwater Oklahoma brings over a nice young Kelpie dog to work with Ben. Leach Oklahoma Goat Sale. Old calf roper turns to roping goats! Ben and Keeper get the pasture calves up at dusk to fly spray.

2nd week of July. Greg Griffith, Cushing Oklahoma brings Penny and Jay for training. Mya and Jacob Martin, Bluejacket Oklahoma stop in with garden goodies and fun stories. Jacob is the only kid we know who's had a ostrich chase him and his pony!
